TRAVEL for a PURPOSE
World Travelers Association (WTA) is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that believes in ‘Traveling for a Purpose.’ Self-expanding adventures, yoga, and volunteer efforts are matched on an organized group vacation experience to different countries around the world. Activities and volunteer opportunities are expertly curated to create a peak experience in the traveler's life, while allowing for authentic, positive and meaningful impact in each destination.
WTA came to life through the unique travel experiences of its founder, Jorge Branco. Jorge combined his love for adventure and self-less service to create the WTA platform. Jorge joined forces with Marina De Lima, a yoga teacher and travel junkie, who uses yoga and meditation to bring travelers on a physical and spiritual journey. Together Jorge and Marina guide WTA Vacation Experiences in countries all over the world. WTA has organized experiences in Fiji; Indonesia (Bali); Nepal; Portugal; Morocco; Nicaragua; Ecuador; Thailand; Peru; and Mexico.
WTA Adventure Experiences are designed to facilitate peak experiences for travelers. Whether you’re a thrill-seeking adrenaline junkie, or just ready to step outside of your comfort zone for the first time, WTA Adventure Experiences have something for everyone. Surfing waves in Morocco, rock climbing on the coast of Portugal, rafting through the Amazonian Rivers of Ecuador, or mountain biking through the Andes Mountains of Peru; each WTA Adventure captures the essence of the host country.
WTA Yoga is guided by Marina De Lima (RYT-500) who studied Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Elemental Vinyasa, and Rocket. She also completed a Reiki Level 1 certification enhancing her work as a yoga teacher and gaining more understanding and knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine and ancient healing methods. Her vision is about crafting fulfilling experiences for those who seek to learn about the world, and themselves through yoga, meditation, and healing practices.
WTA Impact Opportunities are designed to create a cultural exchange between travelers and local communities. Organized volunteer efforts like donating supplies, refurbishing schools, planting vegetable gardens, and teaching dental hygiene lessons are examples of impact projects WTA has facilitated. WTA is committed to continue creating sustainable impact projects, and facilitating opportunities to travel for a purpose.
