TRAVEL for a PURPOSE
World Travelers Association (WTA) is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that believes in ‘Traveling for a Purpose.’ Self-expanding adventures, yoga, and volunteer efforts are matched on an organized group vacation experience to different countries around the world. Activities and volunteer opportunities are expertly curated to create a peak experience in the traveler's life, while allowing for authentic, positive and meaningful impact in each destination.
WTA came to life through the unique travel experiences of its founder, Jorge Branco. Jorge combined his love for adventure and self-less service to create the WTA platform. Jorge joined forces with Marina De Lima, a yoga teacher and travel junkie, who uses yoga and meditation to bring travelers on a physical and spiritual journey. Together Jorge and Marina guide WTA Vacation Experiences in countries all over the world. WTA has organized experiences in Fiji, Indonesia (Bali), Nepal, Portugal, Morocco, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Thailand, Peru, Mexico, India, Brazil, and Tanzania.
WTA Adventure Experiences are designed to facilitate peak experiences for our travelers. Whether you’re a thrill-seeking adrenaline junkie, or just ready to step outside of your comfort zone for the first time, our adventures have something for everyone. Surfing waves in Morocco, rock climbing on the coast of Thailand, mountain biking through the Peruvian Andes Mountains, or safariing through the Serengeti Savannah in Tanzania; each WTA Adventure captures the essence of the host country.
WTA Yoga is guided by Marina De Lima (RYT-500) who is trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Elemental Vinyasa, and Rocket Yoga. Marina is also a certified Past Life Regression Therapist, Reiki Level 1 Healer, and is committed to gaining more understanding and knowledge in Meditation, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shamanic Arts, Yogic Philosophy and History. Her vision is about crafting fulfilling experiences for those who seek to learn about the world, and themselves through yoga, meditation, and healing practices.
WTA Impact Projects are solely focused on empowering the people we visit. Each project is designed to create a cultural exchange, and learning opportunity between our travelers and the locals we visit. Organized volunteer efforts like donating supplies, refurbishing schools/learning centers, planting vegetable gardens, and teaching hygiene lessons are examples of past WTA Impact Projects. We are committed to continue creating sustainable impact, and facilitating opportunities to travel for a purpose.
